Lander NordalDescriptionResponsible for contributing to the design, development, and technical support of various pumping products (surface, submersible, utility, etc.
).
Key Responsibilities Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and launch innovative new products.
Develops product design and engineering test implementations.
Participate in product design reviews, DFMEA, and validation planning and execution Provides engineering support for existing projects and product improvement projects.
Provides qualifications for new/alternate vendors, components, and tooling.
Assists in validation of foreign-sourced competitive products.
Defines critical-to-quality dimensions and features of components and products.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseSkills and Abilities New product development experience from concept to production is a plus Basic knowledge of plastic injection-molding and casting processes.
Basic knowledge of GD&T, engineering analysis and simulation, warranty analysis Moderate level of analytical ability for difficult / complex technical problems Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Understands concepts of analytical tools such as finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics analysis, parametric modeling, and complex mathematical analysis programs.
Travels a minimal amount.
(10%) Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (required).
Zero to Five or more years of related experience.
Computer Skills Advanced:
CAD software experience a plus Basic:
