It all starts with the right hires, leadership team, motivational techniques, and direct communication, which is where you come in! Human Resource Generalist Duties:
Recruitment activities:
hiring, maintaining, and terminating employees, as well as coordinate with staffing vendors as needed.
Conduct background checks and coordinate drug testing.
Work with Manangers to assess their staffing needs.
Analyze and execute improvements to the current on-boarding program (new staff training and initiation).
Work with Management to continually evaluate and improve retention strategies.
Work with Managers to maintain accurate job descriptions and ensure legal compliance.
Manage employee disputes, conduct and document investigations where necessary, and discipline (with employee manager) as appropriate.
Be an available resource for employees to help them solve employment questions and problems.
Develop and implement culture improvements.
Monitor, evaluate and recommend opportunities to enhance employee engagement.
Provide feedback and guidance to the Management about how to continually engage and motivate the employees.
Maintain and monitor legal compliance for employee relations and employment laws.
Educate and assist managers with regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
Responsible for timely communication around benefits and payroll related changes, updates and questions for local site.
Work with Corporate HR & Payroll and Benefits Analyst to resolve any questions or issues.
Maintain and update employee handbook when appropriate.
Participate in company meetings and or communications.
Assigned other projects and duties as needed.
Human Resource Generalist Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
High level of service-orientation and responsiveness is essential.
Demonstrable decision making and problem solving abilities.
The ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and uphold high standards of confidentiality.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
SHRM-CP is a plus.
Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
