Our client company, a worldwide manufacturing leader, is looking to add a Global Commodity Manager to take ownership of the process and build relationships. This position is focused on the management of global procurement and is partnered with a full time buyer. In the Global Commodity Manager's position, you will be responsible for:
Analysis of the commodity, including: preliminary specifications, preferred suppliers, demand, and stocking levels
Managing dual sourced (domestic and import) items to support forecast and demand
Coordinating all activities related to procurement of the commodity, beginning with intent to purchase through delivery
Acting as internal expert for all issues related to manufacture of the commodity
Supporting the Quality Department in the material return and revision process, as well as supplier quality audits
Utilizing appropriate cost analysis, negotiation, and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
Strategically managing workflow within the commodity

Requirements for this position include:
Bachelor's degree plus 4
years strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment. In lieu of bachelor's degree, 10
years of relevant experience is acceptable
Knowledge of acquisition techniques, i.e. generating RFQ packages, supplier selection and evaluation, supplier development and monitoring supplier performance.
Working knowledge of iron and steel castings and the foundry industry strongly preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of professionals within an organization, including senior leadership
Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, basic statistical analysis, etc.)
Ability to analyze data and apply to problem-solving
Strong ERP skills. Info Syteline experience preferred
Strong data summation and presentation skills
Working knowledge of engineering drawings and models
Strong ability to read engineering drawings and models

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
